BackgroundAs yet, the stakeholders that show their concern with waste management have worked individually at their own paces, and level of community's awareness have been excessively low. Therefore, coordination and integration of more strategic nature are needed to enable numerous stakeholders to coordinate with each other and nurture bigger common strength. To realize this, a network is needed to communicate needs and interest of various parties, and to provide a means for each party to contribute and develop synergism to speed up reaching of the common objectives of water supply and sanitation networking (AMPL). AMPL Indonesia (Watsan Networking - Indonesia) was formed on 8th October 2007, by approximately 40 pragnizations that comprise goverments, international agencies, NGOs, relevant projects, universities, regulatory bodies and professional associations. To facilitate members of the waste management network, a task force was formed as a part of the water supply and sanitation networking. Name and Definition of The Task Force
Solid Waste Management Task Force (SWM-TF) (english); Gugus Tugas Pengelolaan Sampah (GTPS) indonesia The task force is a means to synergize information, knowledge and communication among the waste management members of the water supply and sanitation network to allowa cooperation that benefit all parties.
